We then watched some pig races. This is only the second year they have done this & it was kind of fun. The kids cheered so loud for their favorite one & loved hearing the squeals from the pigs.
Off to the corn maize. This place is very creative & every year they have a different picture made in the maize. This year it is the heads of McCain & Obama. It's very impressive to see this huge corn field turned into a maize of such detail. Melissa & Jake had the maps & they did a great job navigating us through to the end. I was proud of Melissa. She doesn't always have the best directional skills, but she stayed focused & took her time & knew where she was the whole time on the map. Great experience/opportunity for her to learn. We finished the night with some mini donuts--cinnamon/sugar & maple dip. Really Good!! We all had a great time & excitedly found spots in our yard for each of our pumpkins when we got home. We'll wait awhile to carve them. They always seem to go bad quickly.
Good job girls!!

OK...Melissa and Brooklyn look particularly old in that group picture...I am going to blink and Melissa will be off to college...what a beauty.
We almost went to the Linder Farms that same night. Of course, we still haven't made it yet. Cute pictures of your family. It seems we don't see you anymore...hope to see you soon.
