Mellow Out Goliath

Tonight, we had a Family Home Evening lesson given by Jake & Nicole. They taught us about David & Goliath, a story that is always enjoyed by our kids. They then taught that we need to have faith & fight against the "Goliaths" that we have in our lives. Then the fun began. Nicole had taped up a picture of Goliath on the wall & Jake told them they were going to Mellow out Goliath. He gave each of them a hand full of marshmallows & they got to take turns throwing the marshmallows at Goliath & see if they could hit him in his forehead. They thought it was so fun to aim at the target & one by one they missed every time. The best part was probably eating the marshmallows after each throw, but it was fun to see them try to attack Goliath.

Allie focusing on where to throw her marshmallow.

Nicole watching her marshmallow fall to the floor. It was a miss.

This is my kids FAVORITE game! We play it at least once every couple of weeks. They call it the marshmallow game. My neices always request it whenever they come over to play too! I love the picture of you reading! You look so comfy!

What a fun idea. We are working to find more creative FHE's for Max's age.

I love that FHE lesson. I think my boys would love a lesson like that. I am going to give it whirl. Where did you get the big pic of Goliath?
