Thank you's go a long way
Today was changing & washing sheets day. The kids take their own sheets off & put them in the laundry room, I wash them & then we remake the beds. We had lots going on, so I just hurried & made all the beds myself. That was a lot of beds!! As I was doing it, I wondered if anyone would notice or say anything to me for making their beds. The day went & it was time to put kids to bed. It was late & we were hurrying to put them down. Brittany came out of her room & walked over to me and said "Thanks Mom for putting new sheets on my bed". I was so happy!! There are times when I go about each day doing what I do to keep the house orderly & so many times things are unnoticed or not recognized. It can really bring me down if I dwell on it so I try to not let it get to me. Brittany made me feel so good just by saying "thank you" for such a simple thing I did. I, in turn, thanked her for noticing & saying something & she got the biggest grin on her face. What a great lesson to remember to say thank you, especially for the little things or the everyday things. It can really make someone's day.

This is such a sweet post Becca. What wonderful girls you have. You're so right about acknowledging the little things, thanks for the reminder.
Love that story. Thanks for sharing. You are such a great example!
How sweet! It is nice to hear a thank you once in a while! Hey, the website for the "beef" is Shawcattle.com you can call them and she will explain how they do everything. Call me if you have any questions!
Becca-I just had to tell you how Brennan raved about your party tonight. She loved your girls. She especially thought Melissa was adorable and she was so thankful that you guys were so kind and helpful. She was also very impressed with the fun and funky stuff you picked out. I hope it was well worth it to you to have us come out and do a party. Thank you and thank you for being so great to Brennan.
