Nicole started taking ballet last fall at the Treasure Valley Ballet Academy. Her teacher is Miss Katie and her cousin, Abi, is in the same class with her. She has had a great time and dances around the house all the time. I'm sure I'm biased, but I think she is really good--cute, too. The year is about over & she is already asking about when her classes will start up again. Maybe we have a future ballerina in our family.

Brittany's baptism
Brittany turned 8 in April & chose to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had been waiting for so long for this day. She was beaming all day long. It was a wonderful day for her & she had many family members there supporting her in her decision. When she came out of the water & into the dressing room she was so excited to tell me the words... "I'm perfect"--she was smiling so big!! It made me cry. Brittany is a beautiful young girl & so much fun in our family. We love you, Brittany!

Brittany's birthday
Brittany turned 8 today!! She spent last week at Disneyland & got to celebrate her birthday a little bit there. She opened her presents & got some fun things...earrings, scriptures w/ case & a razor scooter. She got money from Grammie so she can go buy a bird & cage. She is very excited about that. I'm sure we'll be at the pet store soon picking out her pet.
She chose to have cheesecake for her birthday dessert. She gets her own so she is ready & excited to dig in...

Disneyland & California Adventure!!
The Yorgason family had a vacation together down to Disneyland. We decided to go there in April, hoping it wouldn't be too busy or too hot. Well, the first day was not too bad (Thurs), but Friday & Saturday were very busy. The weather was good for 2 days, but on Friday it poured rain!! We stuck it out, bought ponchos & ran inside stores when it got real bad. Always makes it more interesting. Here are a few highlights from our trip...
We ate breakfast at Minnie's place & got pictures with her & many of her friends.

The roller coasters have always been a favorite for Melissa & Brittany, but Nicole surprised us this time & went on all the ones she could ride. Space Mountain was one of her favorites. You can barely see her eyes peeking over the bar. She loved to scream--I laughed more at her screaming than from the thrill of the ride.

Small World is definitely a classic & loved by everyone.

The girls loved looking for souvenirs.

Nicole celebrated her 5th birthday at Disneyland. She got a special birthday badge to wear & was wished "Happy Birthday" throughout the whole trip.
She got to go to the princess fantasy fair & get her hair done up to look like a princess. Sleeping Beauty is her favorite princess right now. She looked so cute & I think she really felt like a princess today.

The girls always have fun when they are with their cousins. Here they are with Kristen & Rachel.

Even though it rained, we stayed as long as we could. Becca & her sisters, Deborah & Martha, tried to keep their little ones dry & comfy in their strollers.

We had a little bit of a lay over on the way home, so the girls made themselves comfortable on the floor at the airport & enjoyed a movie & their books. We have travelled quite a bit over the past few years, so they have gotten used to entertaining themselves while we wait to get to the next destination. It sure makes travelling so much easier.

Brittany getting ears pierced!
Brittany turned 8 and chose to get her ears pierced for her birthday. We decided at that age they should be responsible enough to take care of the cleaning of their ears, so if they want them pierced, then it's ok. We were down at Grammie & Grandpa's house & we headed to the mall. She was nervous, but stayed very calm. I was very impressed how little she reacted to what was going on. She hardly moved when the earing went in. What a trooper!! She was very excited when it was over & they look great on her.

A day at the Dentist
The girls all got their teeth checked today by Jake. It went really well & their teeth all looked really good--according to their dentist. They got x-rays, cleanings and impressions done--even Allie.
She did have a look of fear in her eyes for a little bit, but she was willing to do whatever the assistant tried to do.
While we were there, Brooke had a blow out in her diaper & for some reason I didn't have any more diapers with me. It was such a mess!! It was leaking all up her back. I tried to clean her off a little bit in the bathroom, but it just ended up making it worse. After about 15 minutes, I realized I had a diaper for Allie in the car. Brooke wore a size 2 & this was a size 5, but hey, it was a clean diaper. I got her all changed & we were all happy again. It's not always easy taking 5 kids places, especially the dentist office. Fortunately we like our dentist & don't mind going to see him.
